PORT AVENTURA
There's a wealth of entertainment and leisure activities on your doorstep in Salou so you may not have time to go further afield than the resort itself and the Port Aventura theme park, especially if you're only staying here for a few days. But if you get the chance, try to fit in some day trips and excursions to the many fascinating places of interest in this region.

AQUOPOLIS
The sea lions are one of the more popular attractions among the many activities and thrills in the Aquopolis Water Park.
Visitors can actually get to interact with and play with the sea lions.
The water park has a Dolphin section, a host of water rides to delight the kids and many more attractions for all ages.

GOLF ON THE COSTA DORADA
Golfers may want to leave the rest of the family at Port Aventura while they enjoy a day out at one of the excellent courses in the area. There are 18-hole courses in Reus and Mont-roig del Camp. The nine-hole Club de Costa Dorada near Tarragona has a swimming pool, tennis and squash courts, a children's playground and restaurant.

TARRAGONA
Regular buses run from Salou to Tarragona which is well worth a visit with its wealth of ancient buildings and monuments including Roman aqueducts, amphitheatres and monasteries.

BARCELONA
Barcelona is a city full of interesting monuments, Sagrada Familia, the Cathedral, Las ramblas, Colon and much more, Visiting these places will help you to get to know this great Olympic city. A day out for all the family.

CAMP NOU

The independent state of Andorra in the Pyrenees Mountains. 
A paradise place for shopping as everything is duty free. Passport a must.

COUNTRYSIDE
A truly memorable day out in the real Spanish countryside. You can visit villages like Montblanc, Sarral, Santes Creus, Pla de Santa Maria and Valls, just to name a few. Also sample some of the local wine at the winery. Real Spain at its best

SAFARI COSTA DORADA
Set out on a Costa Dorada safari and enjoy the splendid countryside scenery. Your tour becomes more interesting as you take on mountain tracks, cross streams, leafy forests, beautiful countryside and pretty mountain villages. Spend some time taking in the calmness and beauty of the reservoir.

AQUALEON SAFARI
Lions, tigers and water slides? Is it possible? Only at Aqualeon! Situated near the Costa Dorada this is the only Water Park and Safari in Europe. Visit the savannah and then enjoy the thrill of the themed water park attractions such as the zebra-Black Hole, all within large landscaped gardens. You won’t be disappointed!

MONSERRAT
Organise excursions to the breath taking Benedictine Monastery at Montserrat, perched high in the mountains amid extraordinary rock formations which have attracted pilgrims for thousands of years.

CAMBRILS
Next to Salou is the beautiful fishing village of Cambrils. Every evening see all the fishing boats bringing in their catch.

Torre Vella
This tower was built in the year 1530 as a watch and defence tower in order to protect Salou from the constant raids of pirates and privateers. It was built to the order of the archbishop of Tarragona , Pere de Cardona in the old district of Barenys.

Santa Maria del Mar church
Initially this was a chapel with a single nave and a simple bell tower and belfry and used, above all, by the people of the sea. It was blessed in the year 1766. In different periods, between 1930 and 1950, the church was extended, therefore giving it its present state of appearance.

Chalet Bonet
Walking along the Paseo de Jaume I, we can see examples of the architectural style Modernism that has left such characteristic traces on the houses in the town like, for example, the Voramar Chalet and the Casa Bonet.

Monument Jaume I
The monument is situated in the centre of the Paseo de Jaume I. It was erected in 1965 in memory of King James I, who sailed from the port of Salou in 1229, to conquer Majorca.

New fountains
Visitors of Salou can now enjoy the spectacular water show the new fountains at the end of the main promenade Jaime I have to offer.

Parc de Salou
The park in Salou is situated in the Carles Buigas Street . Some years before this site was occupied by a campsite. It has been, however, transformed into a park for the public, with numerous pine trees, plants and flowers an ideal place to take a pleasurable walk or rest for a moment.

Masia Catalana
The Masia Catalana is situated in Carles Buigas Street and is of a relatively modern construction, build in 1974. Traditional materials were used in its construction, which evoke a truly rural ambit.
